Vienna: Andy Wins, SemiFinals Next
Andy is through to the semifinals of Vienna with a straight sets victory over Jurgen Melzer 6-4, 6-3. Smashing a total of 11 aces, Andy wrapped up this difficult encounter against the home hero in an hour and a quarter.

Reaching a deadlock, there was just one break point in the first set, and Andy took it at 5-4!

Despite Andy snatching the first set, there was little to separate the two in the second. Melzer, who has been in quality form recently, raised his game to go a break up early in the set. Andy broke back immediately with some cunning passes forcing Melzer into errors. At 4-3 up, Andy came back from 30-0 down, to break. Facing a barrage of backhand passes, Melzer was feeling the heat as more errors surrended the crucial game to Andy.

Serving out the match, Andy’s serving was once again impressive as he closed out the match with a cracker!

In the semis, Andy will face Fernando Gonzalez!
