2006 US Open Finalist Andy Roddick teams up with an All-Star cast for the annual Champions for Charity presented by Genesis Health Clubs and MedAppz.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Genesis Health Club location at 1551 N. Rock Road. Roddick will be joined by the 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist and current ATP player Mardy Fish, the rock-n-roll brother duo of Luke and Murphy Jensen, and will be hosted by former top ten women’s player Brenda Schultz-McCarthy.Brenda Schultz-McCarthy is a returning tennis champion who played in Wichita in 1987. After being sidelined for four years with a back injury, Brenda has returned to the circuit this year. MedAppz LLC is Brenda’s primary sponsor. To return the thanks to MedAppz and Wichita, she is thrilled to play in this local tennis charity event, and she is bringing along her very close friend, Andy Roddick.

“Brenda has done a great deal for my Foundation (The Andy Roddick Foundation) and to increase the growth of tennis throughout the world,” said Roddick. “I am excited to be coming to Wichita and help her raise money for such worthy causes.”

In its inaugural year, Champions for Charity will benefit the Daniel M. Carney Rehabilitation Engineering Center Wheelchair Seating Program for Children at the Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation (CPRF) and the Genesis Foundation for Fitness & Tennis (GFFT) in what will become an annual fundraising exhibition in Wichita.
