Good Times In Austin, Texas

As many of you know, Andy likes to spend as much time as possible in Austin, Texas. After spending two days with him this week, I understand why!! “The Live Music Capital of the World” is a growing city that has a great energy about it. It’s not too big, not too small and the people are very friendly. In addition, for a young person, it’s an ideal place to be as the city is swarming with college kids, fun restaurants and bars and great music!!!

Andy has a beautiful house on Lake Austin, and while it is not quite completely furnished, it is certainly getting there. The main themes are sports, Cornhusker red and cozy/country bed rooms. It is also well equipped with many of the modern day gadgets you would expect in a young stud’s house like Andy’s.

Although he has just moved in to his new place, it does not seem like our Andy is lonely. Remember, he spent a good portion of his childhood living in Austin and has remained close with some of his old friends. In addition, the 3 guest rooms seem to get plenty of action when Andy is home, and yes, I promise you this, Andy is a terrific host.

While I was in Austin I had the opportunity to visit the offices that produce AR.com. Ron, Annie, and the lovely new addition, Chantal, are working hard to maintain what is in my opinion, one of the best sites of any athlete on the internet, if not the best. I would like to thank them for their hospitality during my short visit.

The North American outdoor hardcourt season is here, and it should be an exciting month of tennis in the US. I hope you all follow the coverage on ESPN and the various local networks, and if you are in Scottsdale, Palm Springs or Miami, go check it out live!
