Davis Cup Team Dines with US Ambassador

In between practices at the Olympic Stadium and sight seeing at Red Square, Andy and the Davis Cup Team attended a cocktail party at United States Ambassador William J. Burns’s residence in Moscow Tuesday evening. Clad in suits and matching yellow ties, Andy, James and The Bryan Brothers looked sharp as they met with USTA President Franklin Johnson and spoke with United States Ambassador William J. Burns.

Also on hand for the formal affair were TV Correspondent Bud Collins, Davis Cup Coaches Patrick McEnroe, Dean Goldfine and practice partners Ryan Sweeting and Nikita Kryvonos – who Andy has already given fair warning to about team pranks.

From Team Roddick, John and Doug joined Andy – Doug is pulling double duty this weekend as he also serves as the Official Athletic Trainer for the United States Davis Cup Team. After posing for team pictures on the front lawn, the boys mingled with Embassy guests, USTA officials and the Russian Davis Cup Team before calling it an evening.

As Friday draws nearer, the much-anticipated semi-final has everyone talking potential match-ups, court surfaces, and the thrill of playing for your country. Check back to andyroddick.com for more from Moscow.
