Davis Cup & Moscow

Well after a very exciting and great run at the US Open we took a few days off at home. The couple of days off went very quickly and before we knew it we were on our way here to Moscow.

I am here in Moscow with the US Davis Cup Team as we get ready to play the Davis Cup Semi-final against Russia. For Andy it was important to get a few days off and recover both physically and mentally after the US Open. We arrived here in Moscow on Saturday after a long trip to get here. Several of the guys traveling with the team had delayed flights that caused them to miss connections. As a result some of the guys also had luggage that did not show up. So the first day there was a lot of borrowing of clothes going on.

Now we have practiced for a couple of days, everyone has there bags, and we are getting ready for this weekend. Big thing here is that we are playing on Clay at the Olympic Indoor stadium. That means a couple of days for the guy to get use to the different bounce and footing of the clay court. It should be a fun week and the matches this weekend should be very exciting.
