Andy holds a 4-2 record over Verdasco, the lefty whose best shot is his forehand. Verdasco earned his first in Miami in 2005 when Andy retired, and the second win at their next meeting a few weeks later in Rome on clay after two sets ended in close tie-breaks. They have played each other twice this year with Andy being the victor both times, both times in straight sets.
