Rain Equals Added Pressure

The US Open is off and running. Andy got off with to a great start with a really well played first round match. It is always big to get that first round match out of the way and get into the tournament. It is just a start and it is a long 2 weeks to work your way through a Grand Slam tournament.

Rain here in New York means limited practice time. It also can change the tournament for many guys. With each day of rain it means playing more matches in a shorter amount of time. This can be hard if you have a couple of tough matches and not much time to recover. It was good for Andy to get his match in on Monday and it would be great to have a nice day tomorrow and get Andy’s match in tomorrow night on Wednesday.

We all really like it here in New York City. You just feel the energy from this city while you are here. It is a great city to just walk around and enjoy. Plus there are always things to do and great restaurants to go here. The US Open is great and New York is fun and those two things make it a great tournament. Hoping that we are here for a while longer.
