You’ve heard about them. You’ve read them. You may even hate them. But you can’t help yourself. The new four-letter word in tennis is “blog,” and it is taking over.
Almost everyone is writing a blog these days. The ATP and WTA websites convince some poor and unsuspecting player each week to dish about the goings-on of his or her life—both personally and in tennis. We here at SMASHTENNIS.com have one (courtesy of Aussie Bryanne Stewart), and TENNIS.com has a couple, too (check out Peter Bodo’s and Steve Tignor’s insights).
Some players, including both Andys, are flashing not only new coaches these days but also their off-court skills as they put ink to cyber-paper and hash out their own blogs for their official websites.
