Andy Out of Legg Mason Tennis Classic

After a short hit with his brother John, with trainer Doug Spreen
looking on intently, Andy announced that he was not fit enough to
compete tomorrow night and has pulled from the Legg Mason tournament
in Washington D.C.

“I can feel it in my back when I hit, and it’s an injury that can
easily be aggravated,” Andy noted in his press announcement. “I’d
rather get healed and be prepared.” Andy would have had very minimal
practice before he’d play his first match in D.C., and serving wasn’t
even included in the light hit today as an additional precaution.

“I am feeling a lot better now than I thought I would be four days
ago. Doug had to take off my socks my back hurt so badly then,” Andy
explained.
