Andy vs. Olivier Rochus
Friday 25th Oct. The quarter-final match is scheduled to be played fifth on centre court, not before 20.00 (central european time)
Andy is through to the Quarter finals of Basel with his win over Gilles Elseneer 6-3, 7-6(5). Despite lighting failure at 4-3 in the first set, Andy overcame the break in concentration to break Elseneer’s serve immediately and go onto claim the first set. The second set was more difficult, and Elseneer served for the set at 5-3, Andy showing true fighting spirit broke back to take the match into a tie break. There, Andy went down 5-3, but won the next four points to claim the match and book himself a place in the quarterfinals!
In the Quarter-finals, Andy will face Olivier Rochus. The two have never played before in an ATP event.
