After receiving a bye in the first round of the Stella Artois-Queen’s Club tournament in London, Andy will be facing qualifier Frank Dancevic of Canada in the second round.
Dancevic defeated Kenneth Carlsen of Denmark in three sets on Monday, 4-6,6-3,6-3, to advance into the second round. The 21-year-old, who is currently ranked 127 in the world, turned pro in 2003 and will be facing a top ten player tomorrow for the first time. Here are the stats on Dancevic:
Birthdate: 26-Sep-84
Birthplace: Niagara Falls, Canada
Residence: Niagara Falls, Canada
Height: 6’1’’ (185 cm)
Weight: 175 lbs (79 kg)
Plays: Right-handed
Andy’s got an inch and a few pounds over Dancevic, but the biggest advantage is the total of 20 titles, including a Grand Slam, Andy has under his belt. Grass is Andy’s favorite surface with many successful years on it, and he’s back to defend his title. In this match-up, experience is on Andy’s side. Stay tuned for the match time and latest from London!
