Andy Roddick has set the record for fastest serve in a match by whipping one 150 miles-per-hour tonight night in Davis Cup play at the Mohegan Sun.
It was Roddick’s first serve of his match against Stefan Koubek of Austria. The American later matched the new mark in the eighth game of the match.
The U.S. Open champion broke the record of 149 miles-per-hour that he shared with Greg Rusedski. Roddick hit a serve at that speed during a victory over Andre Agassi at the Queen’s Club tournament in June. Rusedski set that record in 1998.
