Davis Cup Draw Announced

The schedule of play for this weekend’s Davis Cup tie between the USA and Austria, in Uncasville, Conneticut, was announced earlier.

Robby Ginepri will open proceedings, with a clash against Jurgen Melzer, followed by Andy Roddick against Stefan Koubek. The play will begin at 3.00pm ET with live coverage in the USA on ESPN2 and in the UK on Sky Sports.

Saturday’s play, sees the Bryan twins take on Julian Knowle and Alexander Peya in doubles. Play begins at midday ET.

On Friday, there will be a reverse singles with Roddick vs. Melzer and Ginepri taking on Koubek.

In a preview for Friday’s play, Andy has played Koubek three times before and won all three of their encounters, not losing a set to the Austrian. Ginepri and Melzer have played just once before, with Ginepri emerging the victor in three sets.
