Thought I’d check in and share a little on the training Andy is doing to get ready for the clay season. I had Sam Querrey (up and coming young American) come in and hit with Andy for a week. Andy and Sam were hitting on the clay courts at Andy’s club. Andy has really been working hard to get used to the longer points he will have to play on clay. He has been using this time to work on his fitness by running hills, doing quickness drills, and getting back in the weight room. His movement on the clay is definitely getting sharper.
