Andy continues his title defense in Houston tonight against Austrian Oliver Marach. Marach defeated Juan Antonio Marin 6-4, 6-1 in the first round to set up the showdown with Andy. The two have never played, but Andy’s comfort level in Houston helps balance uncertainties about his next opponent.
“You come in, you know the set-up, it feels like home,” Roddick shared his at ease mentality in Houston. “You get into your routine and it definitely helps.” According to the ATP, Marach, who is currently coached by Markus Rackl, began playing tennis at the age of six. This February, Marach reached his highest ATP Singles ranking of 113.
The two are set to take Gallery Furniture Stadium second on after 7:00 pm tonight.
