Devoted to playing Davis Cup for his country, Roddick sent the United States into the semifinals Sunday by beating Chile’s Fernando Gonzalez 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-2 to give the U.S. team an insurmountable 3-1 lead in the best-of-five quarterfinal.
