In the fourth round of the Australian Open, number one seed, Andy Roddick will take on the Dutchman, Sjeng Schalken. The match is scheduled for fourth on Rod Laver court, following a 11.00am start (local time).
Roddick and Schalken have played four times previously, with Roddick winning three of the encounters, including their last meeting at the 2003 US Open, where Roddick won in straight sets.
In preview of his forthcoming match with Schalken, Andy commented:
“Sjeng, you know, I played him a couple times last summer. I played pretty well against him. He’s the kind of guy where you can’t really have an off day or he’s going to make your life miserable. He’s solid off both wings, returns serve pretty well and moves well for how big he is.”
