In this past week, the “Old Andy” was back out on court in Miami, playing a powerful yet even-paced game. We have compiled some phenomenal stats from Andy’s match at the Nasdaq-100 Open. Check them out!
His Fastest Serve in clocked at the Nasdaq: 143mph, against Greul
Number of visits to South Beach Favorite Nobu: 2
Aces fired: 41
Number of official tournament parties hosted: 1 (with James Blake)
Total match minutes: 504
Highest Serve Percentage: 75 % against Fernando Versdasco
Number of Challenges Andy requested: 3, and he won one of themin the match against Ferrer.
New Technological Advances: 2, Instant Replay and Doug’s live microphone, catching a comment to one of Andy’s aces as a “bomb”, which it was at 138mph.
Number of times Andy admitted he owns a Scrabble dictionary in a press conferece: 1 (and perhaps one too many) “Dude, you know what’s in there? “No shot.” You’d be surprised. I have a Scrabble dictionary, yes, I do. “Za,” short for pizza.”
Andy’s run at the Nasdaq in Miami was just the tip of the iceburg as far as what is yet to come from him and his racquet. Even though it was windy and overcast in Miami, Andy brought the heat with these impressive stats and his reemerging game.
