Subject: Ready for tough first round

I’ve always enjoyed coming to Melbourne. Playing in Australia is cool because the fans are really into it and they love tennis no matter where you’re from. I’ve been very flattered by the crowd support, coming to watch me practice and play. I had a pretty good run here last year, reaching the semis, and it seems like people are still talking about the marathon match with El Aynoui.

I really don’t have time to reflect on that since I’ve drawn Fernando Gonzalez in the first round. That means I’ll have to be ready to play from the start.
