The US Open continues to progress, the Lexus commercials continue to cruise, and the American Express characters continue to entertain. As for Andy, he continues to think about the future. Though it’s hard to forget about the match of one week ago, it would be harder for him to not get back out there. Stopping Andy from wanting to win is simply impossible.
“Andy’s strengths are his big serve, big forehand, and intense desire to win. These 3 things will continue to be the roots of his game,” said Coach Dean Goldfine. Already back on the courts in Austin, America’s number one men’s tennis player is focused and drilling balls down the line. Not only is Andy solidifying the roots of his game, he is also strengthening his volley, offensive tactics, and return of serves.
Andy is working hard mentally and physically to stay at the top of his game and redeem his first round loss last week. “We miss him,” said Davis Cup coach, Pat McEnroe, on having an Open without Andy.
But Andy’s not waiting around to be missed… we suspect he has permanently dismantled his snooze button.
Go Andy!
