Andy may be having trouble finding his mojo, but you will have little trouble finding Andy in New York. Well, at least a picture of him. Traveling around the city, it is a strange feeling of dejavue, as you will see Andy everywhere. Of course, no one is complaining, but in case you can’t get to the city, here is a quick rundown of where we have spotted Andy so far.
Driving in New York is already a challenge, but it becomes an impossible feat when you are distracted by Andy on billboards throughout the city, including Grand Central Parkway. If you prefer to take the train, hop on Train # 7 to Flushing Meadows, where Andy’s mojo is in full effect. Rather travel by bus? You may be riding next to Andy, or at least his face enlarged on the side of your bus. Need to make a phone call? You wouldn’t be lying if you told your friends you were calling with Andy, as he is on several telephone booths throughout the city.
All of this is before you even step foot in Flushing Meadows. Once inside the gates at the US Open, it isn’t a mystery who is one of the fan favorites. Whether or not you are in the market for a new luxury car, head over to Lexus display where Andy’s campaign accompanies the amazing vehicles. If you look good in polo, go shopping at the Lacoste store, where you’ll catch Andy sporting the crocodile.
If you are planning to wait it out for an autograph and need something for Andy to sign, go straight to the American Express booth where you can pick up one of a kind Andy Roddick autograph cards. Finally the USTA will not let you forget that Andy is eligible to take home a record 2.2 Million dollars as the men’s winner of the US Open Series. Both Andy and Kim Clijsters share several billboards and posters promoting their USOS victories.
