Andy To Face Muller

In the first round at Flushing Meadows, US Open Series champion, Andy Roddick, will face Gilles Muller of Luxemburg. Like Andy, the left hander has enjoyed success this summer, reaching the final in LA before losing to Andre Agassi.

Andy and Muller have never faced each other before so it is sure to be an interesting first round encounter. Having recovered from his slight foot injury, Andy has been practicing hard and ready to get started in NYC.

This will be Muller’s first appearance at the US Open. Not only will he have to deal with the power of Andy’s game, he will have to battle against the very vocal New York crowd who will be heavily in favor of their American number one.
