Lucky for New Yorkers and other tennis fans, New York City is also the home of the US Open Tennis Championships. The last week of August is more popular for Flushing Meadows opening its doors than the beginning of the NFL season. Natives and tourists alike line up for a glimpse of some of the greatest athletes who compete for the grand prize. The ‘7′ line is the most popular subway line because if in town during the 2 weeks of the Open, a tennis match is definitely in order.
