Cincy Draw Released

The seventh Masters Series Event of the year begins on Monday and we will see Andy back in action as the number five seed. The draw for the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters, held in Cincinnati, was made yesterday and Andy is scheduled to play Jurgen Melzer of Austria.

This is a tournament where Andy has done well in the past, winning in 2003 and reaching the semi finals last year. He will be keen to repeat that success and bounce back after last week’s disappointment in Montreal. However it will not be an easy ride for Andy as he has landed in a very tough section of the draw. He is in the bottom half of the draw, with Lleyton Hewitt, and shares his quarter with Tim Henman and Rafael Nadal.

Roger Federer has returned to action this week and is in the opposite half of the draw to Andy. Competing in his first tournament since his Wimbledon victory, Federer will take on Andy’s compatriot, James Blake.
