Scholarship offer
– The got milk?/Milk Mustache campaign has partnered with USA Today for the seventh year of the Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year Awards. The program gives college scholarships of $7,500 to 25 outstanding seniors (one from each geographical region) who have been hitting the books, playing field and glasses of milk.
The 25 SAMMY winners will be selected based on four criteria: academic performance, athletic excellence, leadership skills and community service. High school seniors can fill out and submit their SAMMY applications at whymilk.com. As part of the process, all applicants will be required to describe in 75 words or less how drinking milk is part of their life and training regimen. Entries must be submitted no later than March 5, 2004.
A celebrity panel of milk mustache athletes, including Andy Roddick, Jason Kidd, Brad Johnson, Mia Hamm, Tony Hawk and Marion Jones, will select the winners.
