After fighting off a sluggish beginning and a service break in the first set, Andy turned up the heat breaking Melzer’s serve three times in the second set and claiming his right to the finals 6-4 6-1.
Dean Goldfine stated, “Andy played another good match today. He got off to a slow start but then played near flawless tennis.”
Wow! How often does a player hear words like that from his coach?
Andy will be playing tomorrow, not before 3pm (CDT) 4pm (EST).
