Andy’s Endorsement Update

As many of you have now seen, The Roddick/Reebok story is being picked up on the wires:

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Althletic shoemaker Reebok International Ltd. (RBK.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Friday it will not renew its five-year contract with tennis player Andy Roddick.

Roddick, who teamed up with the company in May of 2000, will no longer be a Reebok endorsed athlete as of May 1, 2005.

As our contract came to a close, and after carefully considering what is in the best interest of our business, Reebok has elected to not continue this partnership,” the company said in a statement.

Ar.com is not so sure about the business part of that decision. The latest report has Reebok stock down 2.5 points.

he Roddick camp will announce Andy’s new partner next week.
