The AT&T “Champions for Charity” Gala being held on April 26th in Austin, Texas will include Elton John and his signature red grand piano for a solo performance. This is considered the “hottest ticket in town,” and the event was sold out in three days. Andy’s guest list includes former Miss USA and actress Ali Landry, supermodel Cindy Crawford, Pam Tillis, legendary singer Donna Summer, and Texas governor Rick Perry along with his wife, Anita. Also attending are Andy’s close friends and tennis-mates Mardy Fish and Mike and Bob Bryan. You better “Believe” there is going to be some “Hot Stuff” going on that night.
This gala is being presented by AT&T and music is being provided by Mike Sipe and Pure Energy Entertainment of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Four Season’s Ballroom in Austin will hold 380 guests for the evening and will include cocktails, dinner, and an auction. The proceeds will go the Andy Roddick Foundation, benefiting local children in need including The Settlement Home, Austin Children’s Hospital and A Glimmer of Hope Foundation.
According to Blanche Roddick, chairman of The Andy Roddick Foundation, Andy is extremely involved in charitable activities and has raised more than $1.3 million dollars in just four years for sick, abused and neglected children. He holds his annual event in Boca Raton, Florida, as well as year-round selling of his most recent idea, the blue “No Compromise” wristband.
